Vanessa is an award-winning global Workforce Talent Management practitioner who specializes in L&D for leaders and employees, employee engagement, belonging, conflict resolution, and more. With more than 10 years’ experience creating and leading workplace culture change and engagement initiatives for organizations in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Vanessa's experience spans multiple leading industries. She is an Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Qualified Administrator. Vanessa holds a Master's degree in public policy and administration from Northwestern University. In the summer of 2017, she studied at The London School of Economics and Political Science, where she earned a Certificate in strategic management.
Her enterprising and innovative approach to strategic talent management has led to her being recognized as a thought leader in employee relations, leadership development, intercultural competency, and more. Vanessa is the creator of The Workplace Compliance-Culture Spectrum, a diversity and inclusion educational tool. She recently began working with a publisher on her first book about self-authenticity in the workplace. She is also working on a future publication about EEO for business leaders. Vanessa's subject matter expertise includes: adult learning, EEO, affirmative action, racial and gender equity, and bias to name a few.
In 2022, Vanessa won the DE&I Execellence and Innovation Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives.
